Since college, Rod has worked in a variety of occupations and work experiences. Many of those positions included public service occupations. However, Rod’s focus was in the area of law enforcement.  He began this career while in high school and college as a dispatcher for a local police department. Shortly after he went on to serve as a uniformed patrol officer, investigator and corrections officer, and facility administrator at different agencies.  Rod was then recruited by the Iowa Department of Corrections where he served as the Chief Jail Inspector for the State of Iowa. Responsibilities included enforcement of the Iowa State Jail Standards at the county jails and state facilities in Iowa. Rod then teamed up with an architect and construction manager to form R.D. Kampman & Associates. This team served the midwest United States and one foreign country in the design, development, staffing, equipping and staff training of correctional facilities. After leaving the law enforcement profession, Rod served as General Manager of two restaurants while serving on the Board of Directors for Riverview Conference Center. In November of 2012, with encouragement from the Board, took the CEO position.  Hobbies include four wheeling and serving others.

Marlene Kampman

Office Manager


Marlene Kampman serves as the Office Manager at Riverview Conference Center.  Before coming to Riverview, her background has been in Business Administration and Management.  She enjoys working with people to plan their conferences and other events.  Marlene enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She has three adult daughters, two of which are married, and six grandchildren.

Tracy Noyes

Office Assistant


Tracy isn't new to Riverview.  She participates in many of the women's Bible studies and has been serving as a volunteer for the last six years as the Volunteer Coordinator.  Not only will you see her at the Information Table at the Riverview events, but you will also see her in the office in the mornings.  In the afternoons, she is teaching piano lessons.

Tracy is married to Steve .  Together they serve at Bethany Bible Chapel in Cedar Falls.  Tracy is passionate about serving the Lord.  She teaches TREK-- the AWANA girls jr. high class, as well as directs Vacation Bible School.  in the fall, she will be leading a women's Bible study here at Riverview.  

In her free time,  you will find her cheering on her son, Izach, a senior at North Tama, at all of his school events; baseball being her favorite.
